前厝村在东岭镇，村名的来历：古代张姓村民从净峰镇师头迁来定居，村落建在原祖居地的前端，故称前厝[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期，前厝属东岭乡下的龙山保；明清时则属三十二都山前铺。新中国成立后归入东岭区的龙山乡，1958年隶属飞跃公社的龙山大队。1961年东岭公社成立，前厝另设大队。1984年起称前厝村委会，隶属东岭乡；1989年乡改镇后归镇属[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
前厝张氏祠堂位于前厝自然村，清代建造，近年重修。祠堂坐东向西，两进三开间，硬山式屋顶，建筑面积171平方米[1]。
文化[edit]
2024年1月，前厝村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2024年10月，被确定为「泉州市2023年度市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为辣椒[1]。
