前林村位于东岭镇的最南端，崇斗线公路穿过全村[1]。村名来历：据传明末林氏村民迁来，在陈山头前一片滩埔地上建居，故称前林[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1984年起称前林村委会。此前，20世纪70年代为村公所，“文化大革命”期间则称前林大队[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

前林村有林权民故居，县文化和旅游部门把它列入新发现、尚未定级的不可移动文物之中[2]。

经济[edit]

村民种植花生、番薯、马铃薯和西瓜等作物，石雕加工出口是村中的主要企业类型[1]。
