许山头村是东岭镇的镇乡结合区村庄，村名来自一段迁居史：明永乐年间，许姓村民从惠安县城南门迁来，定居于东岭凤山南麓，后山地归许姓经营，便以此得名[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

北典许氏民居位于北典自然村。宅第的营建者是许献琛，工程在清嘉庆年间（1796—1820）完成；院落分三路三进，两侧带双护厝，建筑面积3800余平方米，为县级文物保护单位[1][2]。许献琛字珍享，号宾仪，人称许百万，道光年间曾出资资助文峰书院的兴建，后受封奉直大夫[2]。

上西堡自然村另有南典许氏民居，建于清代，三进五开间，设双护厝[1]。

文化[edit]

2025年3月，被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」；2024年6月，入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。2021年9月，被认定为「第二批全国乡村治理示范村」；2020年12月，入选「2020年度福建省一村一品示范村」，主导产品为胡萝卜[1]。
