潘厝村是东岭镇下辖的村庄，村名与迁居有关：古时有潘氏村民迁来建屋，后潘氏衰落外迁，苏、叶等姓村民相继迁入居住，于是得名潘厝[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
这里在民国以前归泉州府惠安县二十九都蔡宅铺管辖，民国时并入东岭一带的管理范围。解放后归东岭区管辖，直至1958年。1961年东岭人民公社设立后，潘厝于1962年独立成队；1984年起称潘厝村委会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
潘厝苏氏民居位于潘厝自然村，建于1921年，属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑。民居两进五开间，设单护厝[1]。
