历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：村子位于涂寨灵瑞山的东面，故名瑞东。原名赤埕。抗战期间，这里的革命地下组织常以此为活动据点，原因在于地势偏僻、交通不便。[1][4]
人物[edit]
卢明堂（1910年至1936年），1910年11月20日出生在涂寨乡的赤埕祠堂自然村，1928年进入惠安县立中学读书，参加革命后化名卢敬仲、卢哲。他是惠安早期革命火种的传播者，有地下组织工作的经历。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
卢明堂烈士纪念碑在塔后自然村西北侧，1997年建成，坐西朝东，以花岗岩砌成，总高5.4米。碑身呈长方形，高3米，正面刻有「卢明堂烈士永垂不朽」。[3]
