古山村地处涂寨镇东边，距镇区约2.3公里，下辖的自然村为许山、北坑与路墘。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：明宣德五年（1430年）卢氏兄弟分迁至此，初建村时称苦芦埔，后以附近的山命名，改称许山。卢氏兄弟最初约定以「苦」字为号，后因「苦」字不吉，改用「许」字；此地芦苇满山，又因「卢」与「芦」同音，故称苦芦埔。1984年，行政村名由许山改为古山，据地名由来，这是依闽南方言谐音所改。[1]

清代此地改属惠安县二十九都蔡宅铺，设许山乡。民国时期，此地成为涂寨乡下的许山保。解放初，改设许山乡公所，辖七个自然村，之后与另一乡合并，设立瑞山乡政府。1955年，此地成为涂寨区许山联社。[2]

1958年9月公社化后，改称涂寨管理区下的许山生产大队，隶飞跃公社；1961年政社分开后，改称涂寨公社的许山大队；1984年10月设为古山村委会。[2]
