历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，相传一千多年前，胡总兵曾屯兵于文笔山下，后有一位胡韦长者在此建居，村因姓氏得名胡厝。博雅地名网还称，山尾弄内村仍有总兵府遗城。[1]
据博雅地名网，胡氏开闽始祖胡贤公于唐总章二年（669年）随忠肃公平定闽地，因功受任泉州司马别驾，并兼潮州刺史。[1]
抗战期间此地叫岩峰保；解放后改称山峰乡；公社化后并入岩峰大队。1961年拆分为二，胡厝另成一个生产大队；1984年改设胡厝村民委员会。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
胡敬清故居在胡厝自然村，清同治年间始建，光绪年间续建下厅，坐西北朝东南，为两进五开间的硬山式建筑，前有石埕。[3]
胡敬清（1906年至1954年）在1928年到1930年间担任中共惠安县委委员，又任涂寨区工委的书记，并在村中办胡厝文山学校，陈平山等地下党员曾在此执教。1930年，他参加了惠安屿头山的武装暴动。故居因此成为地下党活动的据点之一。[3]
