互助村位于涂寨镇东南边缘，三面环山，一面连着平原。村子辖5个自然村，是惠安蔗塘溪的发源地。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：村民团结互助、相互勉励，故名互助。[1]

开基的祖先为英、梁二姓。清代中叶，这两姓的住户已迁往泗水，村中今已没有英、梁二姓的后人。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村域南面的山上建有互助水库，据博雅地名网所载，始建于明朝万历年间。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈厝自然村的陈厝古井，据村民介绍大约凿于明代，井圈为花岗岩石雕成，外径0.74米，井座呈六角形。[3]

同一自然村的陈厝杨氏宗祠建于清代，近年重修，为两进五开间的硬山式建筑，面阔13.2米，进深18.3米。第二进的神龛上方有「关西衍派」的匾额。[3]
