涂寨村位于涂寨镇的集镇区，是镇内人口较多的行政村。全村下辖7个自然村，其中一个是回族聚居的自然村，设19个村民小组。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：明朝抗倭时期，戚继光曾派兵驻扎在今涂寨街顶街一带，挖土筑寨，寨名「土寨」，后音转为涂寨。[1]

清代以前，此地先后归蔡宅铺、松林铺和普光铺管辖；民国时期属惠安县第二区。[1]

1966年，顶郭、土寨、宣妙三村合并为立新大队，同年8月改名涂寨村；1984年设涂寨村委会。[1]

2006年，涂寨村被确定为新农村建设示范村。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

涂寨威灵庙在涂寨自然村，民国26年（1937年）始建，2001年重修。庙为两进三开间的硬山式建筑，主祀大普公。[3]

顶郭自然村的顶郭郑氏家庙，始建于明正统年间（1436年至1449年），清乾隆年间移建至现址，为县级文物保护单位。[3]
