历史沿革[edit]
早年，有陈氏村民到此围埭垦田，后在围埭的地界头建居定村，遂以「埭头」为村名[2]。
解放前此地设保，隶属惠安县青峰铺。新中国成立后，先属崇武区田边乡；1958年5月撤区并乡，划入青滨乡；同年8、9月改属飞跃公社田边乡。1960年起为崇武公社的埭透大队，1975年归山霞乡埭透大队；1984年改设埭透村民委员会[2][3]。
文化[edit]
县级文明村的称号在2018至2020年间连续三年授予本村；2020年，本村入选市级乡村振兴示范村[1]。
