港墘村为崇武镇下辖的行政村，位于崇武半岛东北端。村名与子良港有关，村子在抗日战争与解放战争时期就是革命老区。[1][2][3]

村名与地理[edit]

村名的来历是港墘依子良港内的避风港，以港的边沿称墘，故称港墘，别名港圩。西岞山是村北的山，主峰海拔113米；西麓一处「鹤山」，海拔98米。[1]

沿革[edit]

宋代此地归崇武乡守节里二十六都，明代改隶二十七都崇武铺，清代依旧。民国时设第二区崇武乡下的港墘保。1938年并入崇武镇的港滨保；建国后先后隶属四区、五区与崇武区。[2]

1958年港墘划入飞跃公社崇武管理区，设生产大队；1961年转归崇武公社，仍设港墘大队；1984年10月改为崇武镇的港墘村委会。[2]

革命历史[edit]

抗日战争与解放战争时期，村子既是革命老区，又是闽中地下党的海上交通站。1985年，县政府确认其为老区村。[1][2]
