地名由来[edit]
村子地处沿海突出部的尖角，所以称为前头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代中期开始有人居住，此后属惠安县；民国时属惠安县青山埔。建国后，至1957年此地属惠安县崇武区（第四区）；1958年划入上游公社的张坂管理区。[1]
1980年，此地设为前头村生产大队；1984年10月，它改称前头村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年12月，前头村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会公布。[1]
