地名由来[edit]
1984年，原大队拆分为三个行政村，各以“玉”加其中一个自然村的首字命名，本村因此得名玉前。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代，此地属惠安县东园乡的埕洋埔，民国时为玉霞保。1949年，划入东元区的玉霞乡。1958年，改由上游人民公社的玉下大队管辖；1961年，改属张坂人民公社的玉下大队。1984年，玉下大队分为三个行政村，本村是其中之一。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年11月，本村列入「2022年泉州市中级版绿盈乡村」名单；2022年12月，玉前村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会公布。[1]
百度百科称，2025年本村进入福建省乡村振兴重点村的培育名单。[2]
