地名与历史[edit]
群贤村原名名贤村。民国建立保甲制度时，因人口与地域都达不到要求，便与东园的群青村合并为一保，两村各取一字，改称群贤村。[1]
明、清时期，此地属惠安县二十二都松石铺；民国时设群贤保，归东园镇公所管辖。建国初，此保改制为群贤乡，隶属惠安县第五、第七区。1958年成立上游人民公社后，群贤乡改设群贤大队。1961年，另设张坂公社，群贤大队归其管辖。1962年撤社后设张坂乡人民政府，此时群贤大队改称群贤村，1984年又设群贤村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
社内庄氏家庙位于社内自然村，为明代古建筑，属县级文物保护单位。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年12月，群贤村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会公布。[1]
