地名由来[edit]
据载，古时刘、辛二姓村民迁到这里定居不久便衰败，后来曾氏村民迁入建居，故取名后曾。苏、曾、蔡等姓此后相继迁来，仍沿用此名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明、清时期，此地属二十五都镇安铺；民国时属青山乡苏坑保。1949年冬以后，此地先后隶属四区（崇武）、六区（张坂）的苏坑乡，以及东园区的锦钟乡。[1]
1958年起，先后归上游公社与张坂公社，设后曾大队。1985年，这里改设张坂乡后曾村委会；1989年乡改为镇，本村随之归镇。[1]
文化[edit]
百度百科称，村子是新农村建设的试点示范村，村中保有清代红砖白石民居。[2]
