后蔡村是福建省泉州市惠安县张坂镇下辖的行政村，为村庄。[1]
村子原名后漈，后改称后蔡。明弘治年间苏氏三兄弟在青山铺南山一带落户，启基后漈与老鹞石两处村落。2021年，后蔡村获评第八批全国民主法治示范村（社区）。[1]
地名与历史[edit]
村名原作后漈。“漈”即水涯之意，村子傍溪临海，故有此名，后改为后蔡。[1]
明代，此地属惠安县二十六都。弘治年间，苏氏三兄弟为避祸逃到惠邑青山铺的南山，入张家做佣工，此后在后漈、老鹞石两处启基立村。[1]
建国初，此地属门头乡，归东园上游公社管辖。之后并入莲山大队，至1981年底，该大队分出后蔡、莲新、上仑三个村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年2月，本村入选第八批全国民主法治示范村（社区），由司法部与民政部公布。[1]
2021年12月，本村列入「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」；2022年12月，后蔡村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会公布。[1]
