地名由来[edit]
1986年10月，原玉塘大队拆出刺园兜、南山、埔塘街三个自然村，设立玉园村，故以“玉园”命名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
南宋时有人迁居南山；清代，埔塘街形成；元朝末年，刺园兜形成。后这几处并入玉塘大队，1986年拆出，设玉园村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
玉园灵源寺位于埔塘自然村，为清代古建筑，县级文物保护单位。[1]
