堂头村是洛阳镇下辖的行政村，位于国道324线上杏田村与下曾村之间。村名原作塘头，后因地名普查时与他处重名，改为现名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落地形似龙，龙头处有池塘，故取名塘头。明、清时期属十七都前康铺，民国至1985年间经历行政区划调整，此后归洛阳镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2023年，堂头村获评「福建省卫生村」。[1] 村内设有塘头小学、卫生所和文化活动中心。[1]
