西吟头村是惠安县洛阳镇下辖的行政村，东邻上浦村，西临洛阳江，北邻曾垵村，南接西方村。全村下辖西吟头、井吟、庵边3个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
古时陈氏自莆田阔口迁来此地，因居于西汪、井吟之前端，取名西吟头。明清两代此地归十八都的庸庄铺与埔林铺管辖；民国年间划入洛阳镇玉埔保；1985年起设洛阳镇西吟头村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有白沙寺的原址，该寺原名真阳庵。[1]
