地名与沿革[edit]
清末，陈姓人家从仙游迁来，在大山尾端的南侧定居，村子便以“尾山”为名。[1]
明清两代此地属十八都田庄铺，民国时归民安乡官溪保。新中国成立后经过几次调整，1958年隶属东红公社的官溪大队。[1]
1961年，黄塘公社从中划出一个尾山大队；1985年改为村委会。1999年8月，村子从黄塘镇分出，归入新设的紫山镇。[1]
