龙石村位于惠安县紫山镇的西北端。村名来自山上一块形似龙的巨岩，村中有龙石留雄墓等古迹。[1][2]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名的由来是山上有一块巨岩，远看像一条龙，故称龙石。[1]

1957年村中先办起初级农业生产合作社，同年冬天升级为高级社；次年春天，东红人民公社和龙石生产大队相继设立。[1]

1996年，村子随乡镇村体制的调整划归黄塘镇。1999年，龙石村从黄塘镇分出，并入紫山镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

龙石留雄墓位于白岩院东侧的大畲山上，隐没在山林之间。墓主留雄，字伯英，是留从效的父亲。博雅地名网将此墓的年代记为五代，列为古墓葬。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，龙石村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。2022年10月，村子获福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
