后郭村位于惠安县西部，属黄塘镇管辖，村北白岩山上的岩峰寺石造像为福建省级文物保护单位。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

郭姓先人自百崎一带迁居此地，因位于另一郭姓聚落之后而得名后郭。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，村地属十七都前郭铺，1981年自原大队析出，单设后郭大队；1985年设黄塘乡后郭村委会，乡改镇后仍称后郭村委会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

岩峰寺位于村北约1千米的白岩山上，寺分前后两殿，各以一块巨岩朝南一面开龛刻像。县级文件推定石刻应雕于宋代，寺曾于明崇祯元年（1628年）与清光绪二十八年（1902年）两次重修。岩峰寺石造像已列入福建省第十一批省级文物保护单位，保护范围为四周各外扩30米。[4][3][5]

村南有后亭山遗址，属商代，遗物分布范围约150平方米。[2]

文化[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月评定后郭村为卫生村，称号为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]
