尾园村在惠安县西部，东面临黄塘溪；省道308线自村域穿过，福厦高速惠安互通口也设在村内。[1]

地名由来[edit]

古时朱姓村民迁居此地，建屋于洋山的尾端田园地上，村名由此而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代属十七都黄田铺；民国时归黄塘第九区管辖，1984年起称尾园村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有两处商周时期的古遗址：后壁山遗址位于南坑山自然村西侧，斗山遗址位于下园自然村西侧。[2]
