省吟村位于黄塘镇西部，在黄塘溪下游东岸。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

明代，汪姓村民从洛阳镇井吟迁来建居，仍沿用原居地的村名「井吟」。之后村落不断扩展，读音相近，渐写作「省吟」。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期村地属霞青乡，后改属后殿乡。1958年，村地划入东红人民公社，其后隶属黄塘公社，编为省吟生产大队；1985年改设省吟村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2020年9月、2021年10月与2022年10月，省吟村先后列入「2020年淘宝村」「2021年淘宝村」「2022年淘宝村」名单。2021年2月，省吟村列入「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。福建省爱卫办于2021年11月评定省吟村为卫生村，称号为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]
