地名由来[edit]
据传古时赵姓人家迁入，村后山峦状如狮子，于是称后狮。方言里「狮」与「西」同音，之后便写成后西。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据传宋太祖后裔赵学礼在1276年为躲避元兵，从泉州甲第巷携家眷迁居此地，村名取「后狮」。后来分为三个村，合称「三赵」。1958年称后狮大队，1984年设后狮村委会，此后改称后西村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
三赵祠堂在过宅自然村村南，始建于明洪武八年（1375年），现存建筑为清光绪二十八年（1902年）重修，为县级文物保护单位。[3][1]
文化[edit]
2020年9月、2021年10月与2022年10月，后西村先后列入「2020年淘宝村」「2021年淘宝村」「2022年淘宝村」名单。[1]
