历史沿革[edit]
抗战时期，田边自然村的一座宗祠曾办过一所小学，宗祠联句中有“锦田锦里”之语，村名由此而来。[1]
1947年时此地属惠安县琼田乡，1949年后仍归琼田保管辖。新中国成立后的数年里，此地划入涂寨区第十四区，后改属辋川区的洞峰乡。1958年8月并入红旗人民公社，分为坊、田边两个大队，1966年又合为团结大队；1986年10月起改设锦里村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年3月，锦里村被命名为「惠安县2023年度平安村（社区）」，据博雅地名网所载。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
锦里延寿亭为清代建筑，据博雅地名网推测是延寿桥的附属建筑。延寿桥的始建时间在元朝末年，即至正二十六年，公元1366年。[1]
