历史沿革[edit]
明朝时，王姓族人从外乡迁入。村名取自原居地的一个丁号“苍霞”，方言读作“村下”，遂成今名。[1]
旧时属一都的琼田铺，民国时归辋川乡的琼田保。新中国成立后，1949年冬起划入一区（城关）、十一区、十四区，以及驿坂区的琼田乡。1958年以后分别隶属红旗、城关、螺阳三个公社，设村下大队；1985年改为螺阳乡村下村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村下王氏宗祠为清代中叶所建的两进三开间宗祠，带双榉头与天井，硬山式屋顶，1986年曾重修屋顶。[1]
