历史沿革[edit]

明成化年间，叶氏一支迁入此地定居。因下埔地处凤旗山脉的坡脚，取名下埔。[1]

新中国成立至1958年间，下埔归惠安县涂寨区凤旗乡管辖。1958年9月起改为城关人民公社下属的下埔生产大队；此后，1992年起改设螺阳镇下埔村民委员会。[1]
