历史沿革[edit]
村名原作“象坂”，本地方言中“上”与“象”音近，后改为“上坂”。[1]
宋代此地属崇武乡太原里二十一都，元代属县南行茐乡，明代仍沿用。清代时并入苍云铺。1943年归惠安县东园五区；1949年以后，先后由东园区及洛阳区的端明乡、锦明乡管辖。1958年后改称上坂大队，1984年成立上坂村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
东乡辜氏宗祠在东乡自然村，始建于清乾隆年间，1998年重修，前有石埕，埕左侧设戏台。[4]
上坂鼓峰寺始建于明代，历代有重修，寺内设圆通宝殿和大雄宝殿，前埕两侧建有六角亭。[4]
港边洪氏宗祠旧址为清代建筑，现存建筑是2006年重建的。[4]
港边溪坝为20世纪60年代修建的拦水坝，1991年重修，由花岗岩条石砌成，灌溉上坂、梧宅、锦丰等村的数百亩田地。[4]
