历史沿革[edit]
村名取自古时此地山青水秀的景致，民国时期在此设有锦水保。[1]
明清两代，此地为二十五都的镇安铺。民国时期由东园镇的锦水保管辖。新中国成立初，划入东园五区与洛阳区的锦水乡；此后随红旗、城关、螺阳三个公社变动，置有锦水大队，1985年才设为村委会。[1]
2007年，锦水村被评定为新农村建设示范村，据博雅地名网所载。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
锦水林氏家庙的建造可上溯到1555年（明嘉靖三十四年），此后历代修葺，1985年又加重修，建筑为两进、三开间，硬山式屋顶。[1]
林连和民居建于1946年至1954年间，建造者林连和兄弟为缅甸仰光华侨。楼房坐西南向东北，下两层为石构，上层为砖筑，前有砖埕。[1]
林秀芬民居建于1945年至1954年间，为二层石砌楼房，正面墙体呈四角形，故称八卦楼。[1]
水枧字纸亭为明代石构的塔式建筑，三层六角，保存较为完好。[1]
