西北社区是福建省泉州市惠安县螺城镇下辖的社区，位于县城中心地带，县委、县政府所在地即在其中。[1]

社区因位于县城西侧和北侧而得名。科山上的报德祠石刻、螺城城隍庙旧址、螺城平山寺旧址等古迹都在境内。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地属在坊及一都的鳌震、龙津、弦歌等铺；民国时属螺城镇南岭、锦驿、青山、双忠等保。[1]

1949年冬起属第一区，由保改为乡。1952年此地分为北、西两街，1956年又合并称西北街。1958年起归红旗公社、城关公社管辖，1962年设城关镇西北居委会，文革时更名红卫街，1981年恢复螺城镇西北居委会之名，2003年11月设为西北社区居委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

报德祠石刻为明代石刻，存于科山报德祠。[1]

惠安革命烈士纪念碑位于科山公园西面的莲花山脚，与惠安革命历史纪念馆相邻。1981年，县政府把葬在东门外马山、西门外螺山一带的烈士迁至科山西北侧，并立纪念碑。[1]

螺城城隍庙旧址为明代古建筑，庙始建于北宋天圣年间。庙址在中山街，周围多商住楼房，离中山北路与惠安孔庙都只有约100米。[1]

螺城平山寺旧址在镇区北郊约2公里的东平山小坪顶，为明清古建筑。寺原名乾峰寺，五代后梁贞明二年（916年）已有寺院之始，明末重修时改用现名。[1]

螺城陈氏益隆民居为清代古建筑，在科山公园东南侧，前有石埕。「益隆」是陈氏一支祖先开设的典当行店号。[1]

李恺、李慎乡贤祠为市级文物保护单位，位于君临世纪小区一带。该祠在明嘉靖年间（1522—1566年）立祠，祀李恺、李慎兄弟。[2]

文化[edit]

社区于2021年获评全国示范性老年友好型社区，同年12月被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
