石化工业园区处在泉州市泉港区的东北侧，靠近湄洲湾南岸，属于湄洲湾石化基地，是该基地的先导区，以石油化工为主导产业。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2007年12月，园区入选第二批全国循环经济示范试点，由国家发展改革委等六部委公布。2008年4月，中国石油和化学工业联合会将其命名为「中国石油化工（泉港）园区」。2012年3月，福建省政府批复，园区升格为省级经济开发区。2014年，国家发展改革委与财政部把园区定为国家级循环化改造示范点。2019年，中国石油和化学工业联合会授予它「第二批中国智慧化工园区试点示范（创建）单位」的称号。[1]

地理环境[edit]

园区分为南山、仙境、洋屿三个片区，规划面积25.98平方千米。园区毗邻肖厝港，该港为国家一类口岸；福厦高速公路与铁路穿过园区，进港铁路、化工铁路和漳泉肖铁路连通港区，实现了港铁联运。[1]

产业与基础设施[edit]

园区以联合石化为龙头企业，依托其炼油和乙烯生产向下游延伸产业链，产品方向包括液化气、对二甲苯、苯、丁二烯、丙烯、乙烯，以及电子化学品和高端原料药。[1]

园区具备「十通一平」的基础条件，供排水、供电、供气、供热设施齐备，并建有公用管廊。[1]
