涂型村地处涂岭镇西南部的山地一带，东侧与前欧村相接，西侧连着樟脚村，南与五社村相邻，北与小坝村相接。[1][2]

据泉港区政府网2021年所载，村有442户1604人，5个村民小组，党员49人，辖区面积10.6平方千米。[2]

地名由来[edit]

古时涂型先人迁来定居，开垦田地、建造房屋。因烧制砖瓦，村中辟有大片晒坯的土埕，土埕以闽南语读音演变为涂型，村名由此而来。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地宋元时已有聚居。明清时属惠安县十三都；民国时归涂岭区松园保；建国后隶属涂岭区菱溪乡。[4]

1956年建菱溪水库后改属松洲乡，1958年公社化后编入大队；1966年由数个自然村组成团结大队；1984年更名为涂型村。[4]

地理与物产[edit]

村处于菱溪水库的所在地，朝阳公路穿村而过。[1][2]

主要作物是水稻，兼有地瓜与花生；山林中有茶园与果园，出产「涂岭红」茶，也有晚熟龙眼、荔枝与余甘。[2]
