香芹村位于前黄镇西南面，驿峰路边。村内的自然村有前炉、许厝斗、大林与香芹四个。[1]

村名来历：据传古时蔡姓村民迁来定居，因“蔡”与“菜”读音相近，遂取名香芹。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代属六都的承天铺。民国时为锦凤乡香芹保。[1]

解放后先后隶属八区、十区、十三区，建香芹乡；1956年转入驿坂区芹安乡；1958年隶属超先公社，其后在山腰公社下设为香芹大队。[1]

1985年，香芹改为山腰乡的香芹村委会；1999年8月起，它归前黄镇管辖。[1]

土地与产业[edit]

村内大部分农田为党员示范无公害蔬菜基地，属本村特色产业，也是泉港区内的蔬菜产区之一。[2]

村域总面积198.34公顷，村庄类型属城郊融合类；村北部为普安工业片区。[2]
