前烧村位于前黄镇西部，东接三朱村与前黄镇区，驿峰公路贯穿全村。[1]

五个自然村是前烧、光洋、峰张、顶后郭与下后郭。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传早先有钱、肖两姓迁居此处，因读音近似“前烧”，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属六都的承天铺，民国时为锦凤乡下的香芹保。[1]

解放后曾先后隶属八区、十区与十三区，并设香芹乡；1956年转入驿坂区芹安乡；1958年归超先公社的香芹大队，1961年析出为山腰公社前烧大队。[1]

1985年起，前烧成为山腰乡的前烧村委会；1999年8月后，它归前黄镇管辖。[1]
