凤林村位于前黄镇中部，村子处在坝头溪中段，泉肖铁路在村两侧穿过。[1]

村民以农业为主，兼营少量工业；村内有民营企业、养殖户和个体经营户。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传古时此地有一座形似凤穴的“凤山”，村名取其中的“凤”字，并因林木茂盛而称凤林。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代此地隶属鼓楼铺，民国时期属锦凤乡凤林保。[1]

1949年冬起，凤林分属八区、十区与十三区，建为凤林乡；1956年，此地改隶南埔区的坝头乡。1958年，超先公社与山腰公社先后管辖，其中山腰公社设立凤林大队。[1]

1985年，此村改为山腰乡下的凤林村委会。1999年8月后，该村委会隶属前黄镇。[1]
