凤北村位于前黄镇北部，村后为金鸡山与石鼓山，东侧毗邻南北五路，南侧与驿峰公路衔接。[1][2]

全村分为四个自然村。村民以农业为主，地瓜、花生与水稻是主要作物。[1]

地名由来[edit]

1961年，旧凤阳分出一个新大队，它位于凤阳以北，因此定名凤北。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明初至正统年间，此地为惠安县北忠恕乡的七都所辖。1935年8月推行保甲制，坝头一带设社区，凤北归大凤阳统管其中一保；解放后保改为村。[1]

1958年10月，区乡政府撤销，改建人民公社，大凤阳隶属超先公社的前黄管理区。1961年10月，旧凤阳被分成凤南、凤阳、凤北三个大队，共同隶属山腰公社。[1]
