后张村紧邻漳泉肖铁路的终点站，位于肖厝火车站西侧，是革命老区的基点村之一。[1][2]

村内有北坑自然村，石门坑水库也在村中；农作物以地瓜、花生和水稻为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村民的先人在元朝末年自莆田江口村迁居此处；民国时期村中设后张保，划入锦凤乡。[1]

新中国成立以后，村子的隶属数次变动：先归八区、十区管辖，1956年并入驿坂区群山乡，1958年归超先公社，山腰公社则置后张大队。[1][2]

1985年起称山腰乡后张村委会；此后1992年划入肖厝镇山腰办事处，1994年改隶山腰镇，1999年转归前黄镇，改称前黄镇后张村委会。[1][2]

自然环境与产业[edit]

村内有北坑自然村，石门坑水库位于村中，坝头溪流域也在村境之内。[1]

山地中约三成种植龙眼，其余为薪炭林。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月把后张村列为「2022年福建省卫生村」；2023年2月，后张村列入「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

圆通寺位于北坑，建于宋代，是革命遗址，为市级文物保护单位。[3][4]

村中还有张氏家庙与烟墩山烽火等文物。[1]
