峰尾镇是福建省泉州市泉港区下辖的镇，位于泉港区东南部，在湄洲湾南岸的峰尾半岛上，东、南两面临海，镇人民政府驻诚峰村。[1][4]
镇名又称圭峰。[2] 1999年8月由后龙镇析出设镇。[1][4] 明代这里筑有峰尾城以防御倭寇，城墙已拆毁，城址的四门基址至今仍有遗存。[8] 据《泉港统计年鉴2023》，2022年末全镇户籍人口57568人。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
宋太平兴国六年（981年）析晋江东北部设惠安县，峰尾属其城山乡；庆历八年（1048年）改属德音里。清康熙年间，峰尾编入八都厚林铺，民国初年行政建制仍沿清制。[5]
明洪武二十年（1387年），江夏侯周德兴主持修建军事堡垒，即峰尾城，用以防御倭寇。初建时城墙周长约一百五十丈，设南、北二门与营房。[7][8] 旧城缺水，明嘉靖四十四年（1565年）迁往新址；隆庆六年（1572年）又在旧城以北扩建，四面设门。[8]
1943年设圭峰乡，驻地峰尾。[5] 1958年改设超先公社，1961年划入后龙公社；1984年政社分开，公社改为乡镇，大队改为村委会。[5] 1986年惠安县改制后，峰尾归肖厝镇后龙办事处管辖。[5]
1999年8月，峰尾镇自后龙镇析出设立，[1][4] 博雅地名网的沿革一节则记为2000年，后龙镇分设为后龙、峰尾两镇。[5] 同年12月，泉港区人民政府挂牌成立，峰尾镇属之。[5]
抗日战争期间，沿海渔业多受阻，峰尾渔民另辟海上贸易航线，商船往来浙江、上海、广东、台湾、香港、马来西亚等地，城内一度有商行二十余家。[4]
地理环境[edit]
峰尾镇东、南两面临湄洲湾，与福炼石化基地毗邻。[1][4] 镇境海岸线长约13千米，可利用的浅海滩涂约600公顷，沿海大通道穿镇而过，港口水深、港阔。[4]
镇域面积的记载不一：百度百科为14.43平方千米，[1] 博雅地名网为约11平方千米。[4]

文化[edit]
2014年9月，环境保护部授予峰尾镇国家级生态乡镇称号，属2012至2013年度。[6]
镇内流传的民俗与非遗项目有福建水密隔舱造船技艺、打城戏和泉州北管等。[6]
镇内的文物保护单位分布于各村，多为市级，其中诚峰东岳庙为省级，各村条目分别记述。[7]
