坑仔底村是后龙镇的行政村，南与柳亭村相接，北与东山村相邻。[2]

地名由来[edit]

此地古称「坑人底」，村后有大埔与山，地势较低。后来把「人」字加上「子」旁，村名遂改为「坑仔底」。[1]

沿革[edit]

明清时属九都梅峰铺，民国时属梅东乡三川保。1949年后先后隶属八区、九区、十区与十二区的三川乡。1958年置超先公社的和星大队，1961年分出后龙公社的和星、和东两个大队，1965年又并为和星大队。[1]

1977年复称和星，1980年又改作坑仔底大队，1985年才设立坑仔底村委会。博雅地名网的概况页另记设立年份为1984年。[1][2]
