割山村位于后龙镇中北部，三面环山，东面临海，属丘陵地带。[1]
地名由来[edit]
割山村旧名鹳山村。相传蓝田陈氏的开基先祖避地隐居于此，见一座山形如鹳鸟飞翔，故名鹳山。当地方言中「鹳」与「割」同音，后简化为「割山」。[1]
沿革[edit]
民国时属梅东乡三川保。1949年后先后属八区与九区的三川乡。1952年此地成为鹳山乡，三年后改称割山乡；1956年并入南埔乡。1958年，村纳入超先公社管理；1961年析置后龙公社割山大队，1985年，它成为后龙乡下的割山村委会。[1]
