后墘村是后龙镇东南沿海的行政村，北邻许厝村，南邻割山村。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村庄建在溪岸后方的一处台地上，因此取名后墘。[1]

沿革[edit]

明清时属九都梅峰铺，民国时属梅东乡。1949年后，先后隶属八区、九区与十二区。1956年归南埔区岩山乡辖；1958年以后，隶属超先公社、后龙公社。1985年，此地自原大队中分出，成为后龙乡下的后墘村委会。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2022年11月，后墘村被确定为2022年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]
