峰前村是后龙镇的行政村，地处泉港区港口物流园区的前沿，与福建炼油厂的十万吨级油码头相邻。[1]

地名由来[edit]

对村名的来历有两种说法。一说1911年，王氏族人为了向前发展，把原称峰山村的村名改为峰前村；另一说是古时王氏村民迁来此地，村庄建在山峰之前，故名峰前。[1]

沿革[edit]

1911年设鲤峰保，1956年改称鲤峰乡，1961年分为三个大队，其中一个为峰前大队，1984年改设后龙镇峰前村。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2006至2007年度，村党支部与村委会先后获泉州市委、市政府授予文明村、先进基层党组织等称号。[1]
