后龙镇是泉港区东部的一个镇，隶属福建省泉州市。它东面濒临湄洲湾，南与峰尾镇、山腰街道相邻，西接前黄镇，北与南埔镇接壤。^[1]^[2]镇域处在湄洲湾南岸石化产业基地的前沿，2024年末户籍人口49347人。^[3]镇内的涂坑村是国家级历史文化名村，田里村的蓝田陈氏家庙为泉港区文物保护单位。^[4]^[5]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地属城山乡。元明时期分属忠恕乡与行满乡，清代分隶八都、二十都下的若干铺。1928年后先后归坝头区、第五自治区与第三区管辖，1941年分设梅东、梅峰、坝头三乡。^[6]

1958年撤区并乡之后，这一带先归超先公社管辖。1961年从中分出后龙公社；1984年恢复乡的建制，此后于1992年改作肖厝镇下的一个办事处。^[6]1996年改为后龙镇，这是博雅地名网概况的说法，其历史沿革页与百度百科则作1998年。^[2]^[6]1999年峰尾镇自后龙镇析出；2000年泉港区成立，后龙镇隶属泉港区。^[1]^[2]^[6]

镇域东临湄洲湾，位于湄洲湾南岸，属中南亚热带海洋性季风气候。^[1]^[2]

镇域面积的记载不一：百度百科作21.5平方千米，博雅地名网则记陆域15.6平方千米、海域35平方千米，后者未注年份。^[1]^[2]

地名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：村后有一座烟墩山，山势弯曲如卧龙，故称后龙。^[7]

2024年末，全镇总户数14245户，户籍人口49347人，其中城镇人口48345人、乡村人口1002人。^[3]

迁建与安置[edit]

2004年起，炼化一体化项目征用土地并拆迁居民，部分村庄整村或部分迁入后龙境内的安置小区，其中栖霞社区即为此而设。^[8]

名胜古迹[edit]

土坑村古建筑群位于后龙镇土坑村，即今涂坑村，是刘氏族人聚居形成的一组古民居。^[9]^[10]涂坑村现为国家级历史文化名村，同时列入中国传统村落名录。^[4]^[10]

田里村的蓝田陈氏家庙始建于元至正十二年（1352年），1996年起按原址仿古重建，1998年冬竣工。抗战后期，它曾是惠安县地下党的中心据点，2001年12月7日经泉州市泉港区人民政府公布为文物保护单位。^[5]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，后龙镇被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。2014年9月，环境保护部授予后龙镇「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。2021年2月，后龙镇入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。^[7]
