下朱村位于界山镇东南侧，分下朱与下朱尾两部分，下朱尾呈半岛状，位于镇的最东侧，与对岸隔海相望。[1]

泉港区政府网2020年11月所载：村民小组6个，党员86人，人口3412人。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村原名霞珠，据传说，林印神祖公来此时见海面泛起珍珠般的光芒，村名由此而来。村名一直沿用到20世纪50年代，之后简化为“下朱”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代属惠安县十一都良兴铺；民国时期归大东乡，称下朱保。[1]

1984年归南埔乡管，称下朱村委会。1999年设界山镇下朱村委会，2000年起划归泉州市泉港区。[1]

姓氏与生计[edit]

村中以林姓为主，陈姓与沈姓多在下朱尾。[1]

村民大多以海为生，出海捕捞和种植海蛎是村里的主要收入。[1]

风景[edit]

村一带有一座名为“一支香”的高峰，据称古时清晨站在峰顶，能听到海对岸的鸡鸣。[1]
