据泉港区政府网2020年11月所载，全村共21个村民小组，921户，3186人。[3] 村庄为福建省传统村落。[3][4]

文物与景观[edit]

村内有古榕树群、民俗文化宫、玉湖陈氏祖祠和南洋楼等历史与自然景观。[3]

村里依托33栋南洋楼，设立了创客空间，开展面向年轻一代的活动。[3]

2026年4月，泉港区政府的历史文化保护报告称，东张村的村庄规划或传统村落保护规划已获批复。[4]

荣誉[edit]

村庄先后获得「全国文明村」「全国乡村治理乡村示范村」等称号，并被列入福建省首批传统村落名录。[3]

2010年，本村被评为市级社会主义新农村建设示范村；2012年被定为区级美丽乡村示范村。[2]
