锦祥社区是泉港区山腰街道下辖的社区，位于泉港城市中心区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区于2002年12月成立。据博雅地名网，它是泉港区设立的第一个社区。[1]

关于名称的来历：明朝时期，皇帝赐予当地庄氏族人「御墨锦绣，天水山川」的题词，族人便以「锦绣传芳」制作匾额，寄望子孙平安吉祥，社区因此称「锦祥」。[1]

称号「2021年全国示范性老年友好型社区」于2021年8月由国家卫生健康委老龄司授予锦祥社区。[1]
