梧宅村在河市镇南部，南邻双阳社区，北面连着浮桥村，西与霞溪村交界，东面与溪头村接壤。[1]

村名的来历：早先居民多为吴姓，故称吴宅；后有他姓迁入，因“吴”“梧”谐音，改称梧宅。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代这里是吴宅社，属晋江县四十一都玉泉乡。民国时划为河市区的梧宅乡，解放初期隶河市乡团结区。[1]

1961年，梧宅大队划出了三个新的大队。1984年，本地改名梧宅村，并设村委会。[1]
