历史沿革[edit]
清代，本地称溪园村，属晋江县四十四都。民国时仍称溪园，归河市区。新中国成立后曾隶团结乡，1958年设河市公社霞溪大队。1961年起与邻村分立，成为独立大队；1984年改称河市镇霞溪村，并设村委会。[1]
2007年，本村被区委、区政府评为「五好先进党支部」和「平安村」；2008年，被市委、市政府评为「计生合格村」；2009年，被确定为市级新农村建设示范村。[2]
