村名的来历：明末清初，村民从泉州新门外的同名村落迁来定居，沿用祖籍地名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代为晋江县四十四都地。民国时期并入河市区的溪园村一带；新中国成立后，先隶晋江县二区，又改隶三区的团结乡。1958年，划归河市公社的一个大队；1984年，改定为浮桥村，村委会驻浮桥自然村。[1]

全村1200多人、323户，村民均为陈姓，未注统计年份。[1]
